i finally started feeling good enough today to get back to work on the car.

the front shock bodies were too short and only 1.25" were threaded into the lower mount, which would be sketchy as hell to drive on. i talked to bc to see if they had any shock bodies that were about 3-4" longer than the r32's i'm running. they said the longest they had was only 20mm longer. total bs, i measured them today and they rear shock bodies are exactly 3" longer. turns out the bodies are same size and thread pitch so i switched the fronts with the backs. problem solved. fucking simple.
(front top)

(springs and tophats/camber plates switched over)

but there's still the issue of the "blown" strut, which it turns out didn't actually blow, the shaft snapped. hopefully it's repairable.

also i measured the flca's and the s14 flca's are indeed longer than the q flca's. using s13 flca's would be a better option if you don't want so much camber.

i was able to raise the front end about 3/4" which seemed to get rid of the perfect amount of camber so it isn't super insane anymore haha

i need a 5mm spacer for the front

also got some kai's for drift spares

wow thing is dope. any idea on how the bc shock rod broke ? also i would think the rears and the fronts have different valving based on weight, how dose this thing ride now that you have placed the stiffer valving in the rear ?

i did a noob move and didn't take into account the piston size and all the stress that would be put on it. next dampers will be inverted. i haven't driven it yet since the one damper is broken. not sure how it will ride, but if it's noticeably bad then i'll switch back to the original dampers.

put on tension rods, ikeya formula inner tie rods, and spl outers.

and the brake tabs on both sides are going to need to be relocated... or bashed out of the way with a hammer hahaha

dude just eliminate that brake fitting all together. flare it up in th top of the wheel arch and run custom -3 brak lines down to the caliper and route them however you please.

i did this with ryans z cuz we killed all the abs shit and then had to find away to make shit fit with that beast of a motor in there and compensate for the incredible amoun of angle he has.

finally got the inverted dampers from bc. also picked up some 25mm spacers for the front. pulled it out of the garage for the first time in 3 months and snapped a couple pics. it's literally riding on the tires in the rear. i had to floor it to get it to move hahaha
