Hello. I've got an RB25det S13 hatch that I'm setting up for drift. I've heard all sorts of opinions on stock flywheel vs lightened for drifting. Obviously a heavier flywheel would produce smoother clutch kicking, but obviously response isa major factor as well. What's your opinion on them for drifting? I like the no bov idea, and am stoked on your hmic design. Definitely ordering the hmic, hydro e brake, and super angle kit next week, and I was also wondering if you guys still had Ikeya Formula tie rods in stock...? Thanks

I feel like it wont matter as much as u think in your head. Just get a lightened one. It'll make the engine run better which will feel better than any benefit that the heavy one will give you.

Heavier flywheel is better for loading up, which helps spool up the turbo faster. It also helps with clutch kicks b/c the inertia that it carries. But yea the light one will give you the response. Alot of ppl would just recommend going a few lbs lighter than stock, best of both worlds.

I wish i could give better personal exp, its not really worth comparing a stock Ka w/ flywheel to a stock Sr. lol

Good information, guys. Much appreciated. I've had ka's, stock turbo'd and 2835r'd SR's. This is my first rb... It's almost in (tax time!) I imagine I'll go with a mildly lightened one. I like revvy engines but crazy driveline lash does get old real quick! Thank you -Justin
