Hey guys. So i recently put some origin fenders on my car +40mm in the front, and +50 in the back.

Then I got a set of varrstoens to fill them up. 18x10.5 +0 all around.

My main concern is the front, shit rubs like hell when i turn to full lock, to the point it almost feels like im brakeing. Its hitting the firewall and the rubber harness gromet on the drivers side mainly. i have 235/40s on the front. The only idea I have so far is to hammer in the wall abit, and maybe adjust my tensionrod to bring the wheel as far forward as possible. I have another cm to go.

I was wondering what techniques you guys use in these situations. Since i kno there are people out there with even bigger wheels.

Hammer, paint it black in the wheel well, drift it and then hammer some more where the paint came off until the wheel clears the metal. For the wiring we do this:

18x10.5 is pretty big on the front for an s13 especially if your drifting it. im running 17x9 -3, 235/40/17 tires, with 7.0 caster, -4 camber, slight toe out and with angle mods i still had to do a lot of hammering, wire tucking, and make brake line brackets to clear the wheels

My harness has long been tucked.

i guess ima start hammering away. Already flattened the lip over there too.

I was drifting the car with my old setup which was 17x9 +12 215/45. Had no major problems. But if I cant get much angle from my wheels driving normal, then its gonna be hard to drift.

What do you think about bringing the wheel as far forward as possible with the tension rod?

I think you cant really move the caster that much unless you have a lower control arm like the PBM one

With wheels that big I'm pretty sure most people are running tubs or just completely cut out the front of the wheel well and go to town with a hammer on the rear.

I unplugged mine and ran it through the engine bay. I noticed on a few s13's that when you ziptie it to the side of the frame like that it causes a bulge in the fender. Not sure if that will happen to yours though

we unbolt it from where its at in the stock position
and then we just bolt it back on an inch away from where it wants to get rubbed
but now we are using only one bolt, which is fine.

10.5 is too much up front. I suggest downsizing if you want clearance with big angle

Go to a 235/35 and pull your caster to the front and you should be golden.
