I see, so with the largest possible contact patch there is less need for negative camber. I have to run -3 camber to fully eliminate any understeer. Have you had any understeer with your current set up?
Dan, I want to disconnect my abs because I hate when it kicks in on the track. Have you had any issues since disconnecting yours? I read it effects the speed sensor which in turn effects the cpu. One guy posted it lowered his rev limit to 6500 rpm.
No issues or maybe I never noticed the rev limit, maybe because I have the V6 and it does not need to rev like the 4cyl. and its a different ECU. We disconnected the wire at the hub because of the huge angle needing more wire length.
just pull the fuse for the abs and see what happens. more likely the light will just stay on and the abs will be dissabled since it wont have power to monitor the speed sensors, other than that pull the wheel speed sensors like dan has which will also just dissable it, shouldnt have any repercusions as far as rev limit drop. even if it did just toss the fuse back in and let us know what you find,
but as far as i know hyundai uses a seperate ecm for the abs and tcs systems, and an ecu for the engine systems. they communicate to one another as per the tcs systems but i dont see any reason why disabling them would result in any kinda of rev limit drop, ill look it up on the modus unit tom morning when i get back in the shop to see if this is truley the case,
I decided to disconnect the sensor at the front wheels and not pull the fuse. I heard pulling the fuse makes the check engine light come on. I think there is more than just the abs and traction control that work off that fuse. The only light that come on are the brake, abs and traction control. So far so good problems. Here's a pic of the light that come on.
based on the modus system that fuse only runs power to the valving system which controles the abs and trac systems. but as long as what you have done is working for you then no worries mang. lets see some action shots !!
With the engine mods I have I think i'm at the limit of what my stock tune can handle so as long as there is no check engine light I feel good about it. End of February i'm going to bring a video camera so I should have some footage to post of Dan and i.
