Great stuff! Very nice work! Too bad that nobody makes press in pillow balls for all the joints(instead of urethane)...that made a pretty big difference for my old FC suspention...fact that u dont have to rely on bushings twisting, stressing and maintenacing, pillow balls gives u more of the direct suspention travel I think...and let the coilover do all the wrk for it. anyway what U've done for ur car is super awsome!
no doubt the pillow balls would make a vast difference. its a shame really, but the poly urethane will do for me. i appreciate both your help and your kind words martin!
is that a max oil filter relocate kit ? looks like it. if so good to know it works on toyotas as well!!
it sure is, all you need to do is swap out one of the union studs with another one that works with fram3614 size filters. ka/sr filters are much smaller than the 3614 size. i just used the oem union off the n/a motor and everything mates up. i just need lines now.
updates: no more abs!
i decided not to "T" off the abs brake lines, rather remove all of it together, and just make new lines like a non-abs car. im using these napa polymer brake lines, this stuff is great and cheap. the quality is just like oem!
To do list: 1. front brake lines + “T” fitting 2. rear ss brake lines 3. bleed brakes 4. wrap and re-tuck body harness 5. install front sway bar end links 6. clamp extended harness 7. clean and complete fuse box 8. shave rhd wheel well and hammer up 9. paint inner well 10. paint engine bay
I decided to put the subframe back under the car as the subframe bushings are nearing completion! With it butt against the body, the front side of the RUCA just kisses the body, I could have gotten away by just hammering it or notching it, but I decided to just grind it down, and follow the above contour.
